Bangkok is one journey that will come up many times in our blogs. One of the things that you need to be sure not to miss is tuk-tuk rides. Ride through Bangkok downtown and that huge crowd just proves the multitude of their population, you can feel a smell of food and smell of air because of a huge number of cars and vehicles. But along that crowd and noise we were surprised with their faces because they are smiling and look pretty satisfied.
Next item on our list was going to see The Grand Palace. You will need to select one whole day if you want to see the complex and also, our recommendation is to hire a local guide. We started with Wat Intharawihana which is famous for Buddha statue. Impressive 32 m big Buddha. Building this statue took 60 years and only that information can tell us how important and huge is this for this native people. Temple is very peaceful and you can feel that warm inside it, it’s also very clean and funny thing is that there are no many tourists in here. Natives really look out for this awesome place.
Then we headed to one of most famous temples in Bangkok and it’s name is Wat Phra Kaew. Of course, we went in tuk-tuk This is one of those places you just needs to see. Also, it is considered as the most important temple in whole Thailand and it’s also most sacred place. I also remember that temple is very old and dates from 17th or 18th century. I admit that I’m not sure so I will check this with Google. It’s architecture and external decorations are indescribable and we couldn’t believe there is a place like this one. Because it’s very sacred for people of Thailand you can see Buddhist monks walking or meditating. They all look very wise and kind. You need to pay attention to dress code and conduct.
Most surely if you visit Bangkok you need to visit Wat Phra Kaew and Grand Palace. As usual, Marina made a bunch of photos (more than 100). We select a couple of them and posted in the blog. Be with us because there will be more posts and great pictures of Bangkok and it attractions.
